. Facing the World's volunteer medical team are in the

received help and support through The Limbless Association
and now live in London in order to receive the ongoing treatment that they
need.
The children are huge fans of Kazem Al Sahir. They will meet their ‘hero’ at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 23 rd May; “Oh, I’m so excited. I can’t get to sleep. He’s my hero,” said Ali in a yearning voice.
Kazem Al Sahir, the Iraqi singer, won the BBC World Music Award on 9 March 2004 at Edinburgh ’s Usher Hall. The handsome heart-throb, also received the Middle East / North Africa Trophy and the Audience Award.
This charismatic singer is a superstar of international fame who has sold over 30 million albums worldwide . Using a traditional orchestra, rather than the synthesizers that many use today, he moves easily between classical and popular styles.
Mortality rates of children under-five in many parts of the Middle East have deteriorated considerably in the last ten years due to poor water supply, lack of sanitation, an inadequate health infrastructure and deepening poverty.
It is estimated that the on-going support the Melkonian Foundation provides is helping over 50,000 children to overcome conditions of appalling hardship.
