Melkonian Foundation for orphans in association with International Arab Charity (IAC) Present Kazem Al Sahir Royal Albert Hall – Tuesday 14 March 2006 at 8:00pm – for Children of the Middle East For concert tickets please call the Royal Albert Hall Box Office on: 020 7589 8212 Kazem Al Sahir is a superstar of international fame who has sold over 35 million albums worldwide . Using a traditional orchestra, rather than synthesizers that many use today, he moves easily between classical and popular styles. He will sing his latest releases from his new album as well as the best of his favorites at the concert. More than 50% of all profits from this concert will be going to charity and part of this will be donated towards helping children of Iraq . Apart from those that have been traumatised by war, mortality rates of children under-five in many parts of the Middle East have deteriorated considerably in the last ten years due to poor water supply, lack of sanitation, an inadequate health infrastructure and deepening poverty. Ali Hussein lost not only 7 members of his family but also his nose, an eye and much of his jaw during the conflict in Iraq . ‘The two Alis' are huge fans of Kazem Al Sahir and they will meet their hero at the Royal Albert Hall. It is estimated that the on-going support the Melkonian Foundation provides is helping over 50,000 children to overcome conditions of appalling hardship. The IAC is a Pan-Arab charity which was established in 1967 in response to the 6-day war and, since then, has been dedicated to helping alleviate the suffering of those in need, to promoting cultural awareness and to furthering educational pursuits in the UK and abroad. The charity has been a UK registered charity since 1976; for further information of our projects and events, please visit our website at www.iac67.com _________________________________________________________________________________________ Contact: Louisa Nunn at the Melkonian Foundation on Tel: 01923 283 716 / Fax: 01923 286 954 Charity No. 284776 / Email: info@melkonian-foundayion.or.uk / www.melkonian-fountation.org.uk 28 Chenies Village P O Box 528 Rickmansworth WD3 6XN England |
