"You too can make a difference to a child's life".

Vartan Melkonian was himself brought up in the Birds' Nest Home as an orphan.  He now lives and works in England as an independent television Director and Conductor of classical music, conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra and other notable orchestras.  As a mark of his gratitude to the Danish Birds' Nest Orphanage, he set up the Melkonian Foundation in 1982
